There are some built-in frameworks. These are also called script. WordPress is one of the popular built-in frameworks. Building a website using WordPress is pretty much easy. People call it one click website install. Let’s learn how to make a website using WordPress step by step.
Step-1: Login to your hosting cPanel
Go to the URL of your cPanel. Basically, it should be: http://www.yourwebsite.com/cpanel
Step-2: Locate to the Scripts section. Follow the screenshot below:
Then Click on the WordPress icon.
Step-3: Now you can see the following interface.
Not only on the Namecheap but also almost in all the hosting platform, you can see the same interface as seen here in the Namecheap web hosting.
If you are familiar with one platform, then you can easily make another website using WordPress on the other web hosting platform such as GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator etc.
Step-4: Click on the ‘Install Now’ button.
Let me explain the following instructions.
Choose Protocol: make it http://www.
Choose Domain: yourwebsite.com
In Directory: The directory is relative to your domain and should not exist. E.g. To install at http://mydomain/dir/ just type dir. To install only in http://mydomain/ leave this empty.
The means, if you want your website name to be live at www.yourwebsite.com and the WordPress should be installed on the root directory then leave this field blank.
If you want to install WordPress in another directory then simply give a name on the directory. For example, you have a website www.example.com now you want to make another version of this website in another folder/directory. Say it’s www.example.com/frence
In that case, you should give the name French in the directory field.
Site Settings: Give a name of your website and a short site description.
Admin Account: Give username and password.
Admin Email: Give your email address here.
Choose Language: English is highly recommended.
Select a theme: Choose any theme. But don’t worry, you can change it later.
Finally, click on the Install button.
Email Installation Details To: Give an email address where you have access. All the installation details will be sent to this email address.
